Allotments


The allotments located in Bush Avenue are administered by the Little Stoke Garden Society on behalf of Stoke Gifford Parish Council.

Allotment Costs

£25.00 Full, £19.50 Small, £15.00 Half

      Stoke Gifford Parish Council set the rent charges


Allotment rent and membership money will be collected during February at the

allotment shop – every Sunday 10:00 – 12:00.


Please note reminders for rent payment will not be sent.

Any plots not paid for during February will be reallocated to those on the waiting list.

Allotment Rents are collected annually by committee members of the Little Stoke Garden Society on behalf of Stoke Gifford Parish Council. All rent money collected is then paid to SGPC.

Allotment Check Procedure – for Plots left uncultivated


Checks of allotments will be carried out by committee members during the periods below :

1st Stage letter will be sent to tenants whose plot remains uncultivated, covered in grass or for other reasons as noted in the Stoke Gifford Parish Council Allotment Agreement signed by all tenants’ when allocated an allotment. Tenants will be given time to resolve the problem.


2nd Stage letter will be sent if the plot is not tidied or cleared within the given time as stated in Stage 1 letter.  Tenants will then be removed from the allotment and the plot reallocated to someone on the waiting list.


Please note that currently there is a huge demand for plots, with an ever growing waiting list.   

If you do intend to keep your plot, please let a committee member know.

Please note that committee members of the Little Stoke Garden Society are volunteers and are not paid employees of Stoke Gifford Parish Council.   Little Stoke Garden Society Administers the allotments on behalf of the Parish Council, the Society is not get recompensed by the Parish Council in any way.  This agreement was put in place in 1974 to ensure that the allotments were allocated efficiently on behalf of residents of the SGPC.  Any help new members can give, however small is very welcome – please get in touch.
